Tomer Kariv

Tomer Kariv is the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Pontifax, a group of Israeli based life sciences venture funds focusing on investments in development stage bio-pharmaceutical and med-tech technologies. Tomer serves as an active board member of many of the funds’ portfolio companies, assuming a special responsibility for strategic planning. Among others, Tomer serves as the Chairman of Check-Cap Ltd and is a board member of Macrocure Ltd, Arno Therapeutics Inc , Insuline Medical Ltd and Medical Compression Systems Ltd. During the 10 years prior to establishing Pontifax, Tomer played a key role in investing, managing and nurturing technology driven companies and startups and has held senior management positions at top Israeli financial institutions. Tomer practiced law with Sullivan & Cromwell, a leading corporate law firm in New York, and holds a B.A. in Economics from Harvard University and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.
