Steven E. Spooner

With over 23 years in the high-tech and telecommunications sector, Steve Spooner brings a wealth of experience in corporate finance and strategic business planning to Mitel®. As Chief Financial Officer, Steve is responsible for global financial operations and investor relations for Mitel. Prior to Mitel, Steve was Chief Executive Officer of privately-held Stream Intelligent Networks Corp. During his time as CEO, Steve led the company to substantial growth during a recessed telecom market, through focused activities in investor relations, corporate strategy and development, strategic alliances and marketing. Steve also brings a tech-savvy understanding of finance and corporate strategy from his time as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of CrossKeys Systems Corporation. Steve led the strategic implementation of private financing, acquisitions, and divestitures for the company. In December of 1997, Steve successfully spearheaded CrossKey's Initial Public Offering on the NASDAQ and TSE. In addition, Steve brings extensive experience in financial governance from senior positions at SHL Systemhouse Inc.,Wang Canada Ltd., Digital Equipment of Canada Ltd., and Arthur Anderson & Co. Steve is a seasoned industry speaker having spoken at a variety of venues on topics ranging from Metropolitan Networks to Entrepeneurship. Steve sits on numerous strategic advisory boards and is an active board member of the Canadian Wireless Telecom Association (CWTA) as well as a former chairman of CWTA's fixed wireless committee.
