Jason’s background spans product innovation and leading new businesses in both the consumer (gaming, video) and enterprise (SaaS and analytics) segments. Most recently Jason was Senior Vice President of Product at Uptake where he had responsibility for the company’s commercial applications and he managed teams in both Chicago and Toronto. Uptake is a venture-backed enterprise software company that provides machine learning and data science-driven SaaS applications to major industries. Prior to Uptake, Jason was Vice President, Global Strategy and Innovation at Syniverse, a Carlyle Group-owned global mobile marketing and services provider to 600+ enterprises and 1,000 mobile network operators. At Syniverse Jason established the company’s innovation and product development process and created an end-to-end behavioral analytics platform. Prior to Syniverse Jason was at Redbox as GM/VP of two new businesses, and prior to Redbox he was at Motorola as global mobile product and strategy leader for entertainment experiences (games and video). Prior to moving to Chicago in 2005 Jason was on the West Coast in several leadership roles at companies including Ubisoft (where he launched Ubisoft’s first ecommerce, online gaming and web efforts), Intel (where he helped develop the Xbox), and PlayFirst, a venture-backed gaming start-up best known for the Diner Dash franchise. Jason also serves as an advisor and mentor to start-ups through Techstars and he has been awarded 10 patents.
