Kanth Gopalpur

Kanth is responsible for the overall strategic direction, performance, and leadership of Monsoon Commerce and is a member of the Board of Directors. Kanth has been involved in eCommerce since 1994, when he founded and led operations at Powells.com, the online arm of the nation’s largest independent bookstore. Prior to the founding of Monsoon Commerce in 2002, Kanth served as VP of eCommerce and Marketing at Djangos.com, where he oversaw all aspects of the company’s online business. Powell’s and Django’s were among the earliest and most successful online marketplace sellers. Kanth holds a master’s degree in Government and International Studies from the University of South Carolina.
