Born in London, England, raised and educated in Canada, lived in Fiji and Sri Lanka as a child, worked in financial services and technology in the US, last at Morgan Stanley in New York. First moved to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1995. Set up East Agile to help build new ventures using Silicon Valley best practices. Started East Agile's office in Vietnam in 2007 where he now spends much of his time each year. Lawrence W. Sinclair holds a B.A. and M.A. in economics from Queen's University at Kingston, and from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. He started his career as an economist at the Canadian Department of Finance -- the Canadian equivalent of the US Treasury Department. He also worked in an economics and statistics capacity at the central Bank of Canada and at Statistics Canada. Internet technology credentials include helping to build the business case for online banking at Wells Fargo Bank in the 1990s, analytics roles at eToys and Intuit, and clickstream analytics roles at Morgan Stanley Online. More recently under his guidance East Agile has helped more than seventy Internet technology ventures over the last seven years, including well known names Twitter, Indiegogo, and Rocket Fuel.
