Steve is a serial entrepreneur and software technology executive. He has been a hardware systems engineer, an investment banker, a business development executive and startup founder. But his favorite job so far is being dad to his young boy/girl twins. Previously he was VP of Strategy and BD at Nuance. He was Co-founder of BeVocal, the world's largest provider of hosted speech-enabled call automation. BeVocal was acquired by Nuance in 2007 for $185M in total consideration. At BeVocal, he was responsible for establishing and leading the finance, products, marketing, business development and client services teams. He led the formulation of BeVocal's customer care focused product strategy and was principally involved in selling, closing and managing over $250M in enterprise contracts with companies including AT&T Wireless, MetroPCS, Disney, Vonage, BellSouth and Qwest. He has also held positions at SymphonyRM, Chorus.im, Cadence Design Systems, Petrie Parkman (acquired by Merrill Lynch) and Compaq Computer. He holds a BSEE from Rice University and an MBA from the Tuck School at Dartmouth College.
