David Aidi

David Aidi is responsible for the Firm’s investing in financial assets, which focuses on sourcing and executing specialty finance and other private asset-backed transactions. Prior to joining Atalaya, David was the Portfolio Manager in charge of the Direct Lending Group and a member of the firm-wide Investment Committee at Magnetar Capital, where he oversaw a portfolio of public and private credit investments. Prior to Magnetar, he was an analyst at Highbridge/Zwirn Capital Management, focused on private credit and other special situation investments. David began his career at Merrill Lynch, holding positions within the High Yield Capital Markets Group as well as the Telecommunications, Media and Technology Investment Banking Group. He earned a BS in Business Administration, summa cum laude, from the Stern School of Business at New York University.
