John Blondel is a Managing Director in the Investment Management Division at Goldman Sachs. An experienced financial executive, where he advises families, foundations, and endowments on their assets and portfolios. He first joined the firm in the fixed income division in 1983. John is on the board and executive committee at the Friends of the High Line and has also led initiatives that raised more than 100 million dollars towards this cause. He is on the board and executive committee and has served as chair of the committee for the Academy of American Poets. John is the director emeritus of the Jackie Robinson Foundation and has chaired their investment committee. John graduated from Harvard Business School in 1983 and received an A.B. from Harvard in 1978. He has served as chair of the National Committee for the Memorial Church in the Harvard Campaign. He supports Harvard through a variety of roles, including as a member of the Harvard’s Committee on University Resources and the Co-Chair of his class for the Harvard College Fund. John was raised in Montclair, New Jersey and he is a graduate of Montclair Academy where he was given the Klein award for excellence as a scholar athlete. He co-edited the Montclair News at Montclair Academy as well as a member of the Master’s Singers in the Glee club.
