Michael Stoddard

Michael Stoddard serves as the chief operating officer of BASIC, a Portage, Michigan-based third-party benefits administrator. For four years running, BASIC has been named to Inc. magazine’s list of America’s 5000 fastest-growing private companies. Prior to joining BASIC, Mike spent over 22 years in a variety of roles at Stoddard & Associates. Mike served as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps Reserves as a Military Police. Mike services as Treasurer of Communities in Schools, an organization devoted to giving kids a chance for success in the Kalamazoo Public Schools system. Mike earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Ferris State University and a master’s in taxation from the Grand Valley State University.
