At Results Physiotherapy, we are committed to having people who are passionate, who care about their work, who see it as a reflection of themselves. There are no unimportant people and no unimportant jobs in our organization. Before launching our business in Tennessee, I came to the field of physical therapy through an unconventional path. First I graduated in Law from the University of Queensland in Australia. Then I moved up through a career in banking, law and university administration. It was when I became CEO of a healthcare company operating in Queensland and New South Wales that I began to meet highly qualified physical therapists. Some of these people had worked in the US, and they told me that skilled hands-on treatment was missing from US physical therapy. They said patient outcomes suffered as a result. After traveling to the US and conducting extensive market research, my partners and I recognized a compelling opportunity. In 1996, we opened our first Tennessee clinic with therapists trained in Australia, and since then, we’ve trained many new therapists in the practice of hands-on treatment combined with exercise. We’ve also documented significant improvements in patient outcomes, and our style of physical therapy is now considered the gold standard around the world. I know we’re making a difference, both to the young therapist we train and to the patients whose pain we relieve. We help people regain the use of their bodies and their lives, without unnecessary surgery and at less cost. Our therapists commit to rigorous professional standards and continuing education. As President and CEO, I want everyone who works with us to feel proud of what we do together and to gain a sense of personal validation. I want our patients and referral communities to feel completely confident that we deliver the most outstanding physical therapy available anywhere in the world.
