Peter Waddell is a British entrepreneur and philanthropist. He is the Founder of Big Motoring World, one of the UK's largest used car supermarkets, and the CEO of AE Chilled, a UK leading chilled distribution company. Peter Waddell was a Barnado’s Boy, born in Glasgow and taken into care when he was just 4 years old. In a real life rags-to-riches story, Peter Waddell turned his life around following a period of homelessness, before establishing Big Motoring World. The company started as a small 20-car dealership 35 years ago. Today it is one of the largest and most successful car supermarket operations in the UK, stocking up to 3,000 cars. In August 2024, Peter Waddell acquired AE Chilled, a UK's leading chilled goods distribution company.
