Allison Kern

Allison Kern joined StarVest as a Senior Associate in October 2015. Previously, she was a Senior Associate at the Emerging Sovereign Group, an emerging markets- focused hedge fund within the Carlyle Group. At the Emerging Sovereign Group, Allison Kern was investment analyst to the CIO, focusing on public equities and emerging markets macro. Prior to joining the Carlyle Group in 2013, Allison Kern was at the Royal Bank of Scotland in London, where she worked on a number of IPOs, including Samsonite on the HKSE; M&A transactions, including the stake sale of Aujan Industries to Coca-Cola; and restructurings. Allison Kern graduated summa cum laude from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University with a Bsc Hons in International Economics.
