In his role as General Partner at ScaleUP Ventures, Kevin Kimsa is responsible for investing in and supporting early stage portfolio companies in the North American market, with a focus on Enterprise Software, Artificial Intelligence and FinTech. Prior to founding ScaleUP Ventures, Kevin has spent more than 20 years in operational management positions at growth companies including live event e-commerce platform provider AudienceView Ticketing Inc., where he current serves as Executive Chair. His entrepreneurial successes also include co-founding IP billing software firm Solect Technology Group (sold to Amdocs Inc. in 2000 for US$1.2 billion), and software firm Casero Inc. (sold to Radialpoint in 2009.) Kevin’s solid track record in operations includes roles as the CEO and COO at companies he founded or co-founded, and successful completion of numerous financing rounds with a mixture of venture capitalists and strategic investors. Kevin is a 2002 recipient of Canada's Top 40 Under 40 Award, and is a Board member of Toronto East General Hospital and the Centre for Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology, University of Waterloo (Advisory Board). He holds a Bachelor of Mathematics degree with a major in computer science and statistics from the University of Waterloo.
