Ian Campbell

Ian Campbell has been appointed as interim Executive Chair of Innovate UK. He will take up the role from 4 May 2018. Dr Campbell will take over from Dr Ruth McKernan who is stepping down after three years as Chief Executive and, since 1 April, Executive Chair of Innovate UK. Dr Campbell will move from his role as Director for Ageing Society, Health and Nutrition in Innovate UK. He joined Innovate UK from his previous position as CEO of Arquer Diagnostics in October 2016. Over the past 20 years he has held a number of executive and leadership roles within the life sciences, medical devices and diagnostic sectors.
