Alan is a serial entrepreneur and active investor in the Boston technology companies. He co-Founded Where.com, a mobile location-based media company, which was sold to eBay in 2011. Alan also co-founded Frame Media, Instant Information, and Nurse.com. Alan’s current project is DRONELIFE.com, where he is CEO and Publisher. Alan was at GrandBanks Capital, a Softbank affiliate, and before that, Alan served as an Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer of ZDNet, where he managed technology, infrastructure, and operations and was instrumental in the sale of ZDNet to CNet for $1.4 billion. Alan is a member of CommonAngels and a Special Advisor to DataPoint Capital.
