A graduate of the University of Illinois and Chicago Kent College of Law, Myles L. Berman is a member of the State Bar of California and has been defending those accused of DUI since 1988. As a prosecutor and defense attorney, Berman has handled over 30,000 criminal cases in seven states. Although he started off as an assistant state's attorney, Berman has never been one to be afraid of failure or taking a risk. Almost two years after working at the Cook County State’s Attorney, Chicago, Illinois, he opened his own law office and then established Top Gun DUI Defense Attorney years after. Myles has been published multiple times in prestigious places, with his most notable titles including The Rules of the Internet, which was published in both the Los Angeles & San Francisco Daily Journal and Century City Lawyer (November 1996). Myles has also written extensively about drunk driving defense and malpractice for various legal publications, including Orange County Lawyer, Metropolitan News, Lawyers Mutual Insurance Co. Bulletin, and more. For over 25 years, Berman has given 50 speeches to various audiences across California. In these talks he discusses how we can respond appropriately when facing difficult situations - from criminal cases involving drugs or drunk driving charges all the way up into government investigations! Among his professional speeches are Mastering Scientific Evidence in DUI/DWI Cases (Atlanta, Georgia, 1994), Field Sobriety Tests (Santa Monica Police Department, Santa Monica, California, December 2004) DUI Courtroom Techniques (Beverly Hills/Century City Legal Secretaries Association, Los Angeles, California, February 2008), and Cross Examination of Police Officers (Cavenaugh & Associates D.U.I. Seminars, Laguna Woods, California, 2012). Although his days are always busy, Berman never stops moving. He is constantly communicating with clients and other criminal defense attorneys, preparing for hearings and trials, or meeting with experts. What he has learned is to keep a schedule and meet deadlines- a lesson that has served him well in both his personal and professional life.
