Don Faria is an Investment Director for Intel Capital, where he manages investments for Intel’s (formerly Altera) FPGA technology, products and solutions. Don also is responsible for a variety of other Intel Capital portfolio companies, primary in Semiconductor, Communications, and Data Center end markets. Currently, He serves as a board observer for AnDapt, Bigstream, Element AI, Envoix, Falcon Computing, Inrix, Jariet, Lumita, Mocana, Nexant, rENIAC, Swarm64, Qnovo, and Zumigo. Don's recent exit success include Luxtera (acquired by Cisco) and eBrisk (acquired by Intel). Don also led the acquisition of eASIC by Intel. Don joined Intel Capital in 2015 as part of Intel’s acquisition of Altera Corporation. He has 38 years of experience in the semiconductor and EDA industries, with 8 years in Equity and M&A. He is considered one of the pioneers of the FPGA industry. Previous to Intel Capital, Don has held senior and executive level management positions at Altera, Synopsys, QuickLogic, and Chip Express, where he was responsible for leading business units, corporate strategy, M&A and equity investments, as well as marketing and technical support functions. Don also is an Advisor for SK Telecom Innopartners incubator program.
