► Successful Founder of SoFlo Tutors ► Unsuccessful Founder of Payus Analytics ► Global Business at Georgetown's School of Foreign Service I am an impact driven entrepreneur focused on leveraging technology to target areas where governments are falling short, specifically housing, education, and waste. I studied at Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service with the hopes of becoming a foreign service officer before realizing that entrepreneurship is my calling. At Georgetown, I launched the startup career fair, interned at an incubator, and developed an algorithm for betting on basketball games. But I had to take a medical leave from college because I injured my ankle, and doctors said I may not walk again. Never one to sit still, during my recovery I started entrepreneurial projects thinking they would be good learning opportunities. I imported headphones from a factory I visited in China and made a model for valuing concert tickets, but the idea that went the farthest was a company for 1-on-1 SAT Tutoring: SoFlo Tutors. At SoFlo Tutors, we brought modern, polished design to a mom-and-pop industry and used the internet to make high-quality one-on-one tutoring more affordable. Our vision resonated, and we privately tutored 2,000 students annually. In addition, we donated over $100,000 in services to non-profits. The road to starting my company was not easy, but it has been worth every obstacle. SoFlo brought me some of the closest friendships and greatest personal growth I've ever experienced. After four years of hard work, I sold the company. The sale of my company has provided me with a small fund for investments and in a few years I intend to launch another venture. But for now, I am focusing on savoring life's experiences. I became a yoga teacher and am currently crisscrossing America in an RV, visiting friends, national parks, and festivals.
