Giovanni Enrico Morassutti is an Italian cultural entrepreneur, actor, artist, writer and theatre director. He was was born in Padua, Italy in 1980 from a German mother and Italian father. His great grand father was Federico Morassutti, entrepreneur and philantropist. In 1996 Giovanni began to study acting and directing with Susan Strasberg. In 1999 he was an auditor at the Actors Studio in New York. In 2001 he started to study with John Strasberg, son of Lee Strasberg. In 2016 Giovanni wrote the preface of the Italian version of his book Accidentally on purpose. Since 2001 he has appeared in more than 20 films including indipendent films, prime time tv and international films. As a stage actor and director he has worked in plays presented in theaters like the Cherry Lane, the Gene Frankel Theatre and La MaMa among others. In 2017 in Berlin, he was cast in For the time being directed by Daniela Lucato that was presented at the 71st edition of the Cannes Film Festival and won as the Best International Short at 2019 DUAF Tribeca Film Center in NYC. He is competing for the David di Donatello award for his role in Affittasi Vita (2019). As a director he is working on the post-production of his first documentary film Personal Dream Space and collaborating with filmmaker and producer Marc Smolowitz in the making of The Lonely Child (2021). In 2014 Giovanni Morassutti founded Art Aia - Creatives / In / Residence. In 2016 Giovanni Morassutti Co-Founded Art Aia - La Dolce Berlin.
