David Breger

David Breger is the Product Lead at Instagram. He is also the Product Lead at Facebook. He is currently leading the Interfaces PM team on Messenger - whose mission is to create the best experience of Messenger on every interface. Previously, he led teams at LinkedIn working on products that enable members to track and engage with their professional identity. Products included Who's viewed your profile, How you rank, Content analytics, and Notifications. Previously, as Mobile Product Lead, he led mobile monetization, navigation and information architecture, and LinkedIn's multi-app strategy across mobile and tablet. He and his team also launched a complete reinvention of LinkedIn for iPad, rebuilt from the ground up, that massively increased engagement, with social activity increasing more than 10x. David also created and launched Endorsements: a viral, one-click way for professionals to endorse the skills and expertise of their connections. Endorsements is the fastest-growing product in LinkedIn history. David was previously a Product Manager intern at Facebook. Before that, he was a Management Strategy Consultant at L.E.K. Consulting, focusing on the digital media industry. David received his MBA from Berkeley-Haas. He received his Bachelors Degree in Computer Science and Masters Degree in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford. In addition to his day job, David is a mentor StartX (and formerly at 500 Startups), focusing on the Social, Identity, Growth, and Mobile, as well as an active advisor and angel investor.
