Ryan Freitas

Ryan Freitas is the director of product design at [Uber](https://www.crunchbase.com/organization/uber). He is also the co-founder and former chief product officer of [about.me](https://www.crunchbase.com/organization/aboutme). Prior to about.me, Freitas was a principal at Second Verse, an independent design and strategy consultancy for web products. He has held roles at Adaptive Path, Sapient, and Interval Logic. Freitas has worked as an interaction and user experience designer. In addition to his regular work, he has also advised and invested in a small portfolio of companies, including Branch, Sprint.ly, Editorially, and Blue Bottle Coffee. He has lived and worked in New York, Copenhagen, Tokyo, Stockholm, and San Francisco. Ryan Freitas has a BS in cognitive science from UC San Diego and a culinary degree from the California Culinary Academy.
