Antonio Key is Co-Founder and General Partner of Sunset Ventures, an early-stage venture fund based in San Francisco and Los Angeles. He is a current member of the Kauffman Fellows Program (Class 28). Prior to founding Sunset, Antonio was the Director of Investments at Samsung Next, Samsung’s early-stage venture fund focused on software and services. In an earlier role at Samsung Next, he led corporate development for the team that drove Partnerships and M&A specific to Ad tech, IoT, Digital Health and the Fintech. Before Samsung, Antonio was an M&A investment banker at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in NYC and completed 10 transactions totaling $26bn in enterprise value. Earlier in Antonio’s career, he was the co-founder of the startup K.O.T. Marketing Group—a leading LA event marketing company for millennial tastemakers—and built it into a multi-million dollar business. Out of college, he started his professional career as a Management Consultant at Deloitte, where he focused on enterprise software strategy and operations. Antonio has an MBA from The Wharton School and an undergraduate degree from Stanford University. Antonio currently lives in San Francisco and serves as the SF Chapter Chair for Stanford's Office of Undergraduate Admissions' Outreach Volunteer Alumni Link (OVAL) program. He previously served as an officer on the national board of the Stanford Black Alumni Association.
