Ashley Zehnder

Ashley Zehnder was born in Ohio and has spent the majority of her life there. She was born in Mansfield and went to school from kindergarten through 12th grade in the Lexington School District. She now lives in Houston, Texas with her fiancé. She is employed as a server in the area but is aiming to get employment in the environmental conservation industry, the animal conservation industry, or as a civil engineer. She began swimming at the age of when she joined the Clearfork Swim Club in Lexington. She also began playing soccer at the age of five and played soccer for her high school girls’ team and swam for her high school swim team. She qualified for the state swimming tournament on two different occasions for her high school. After high school, she decided to stay in Ohio and went to Kent State University. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in 2012 and her Master’s Degree in 2013, both from Kent State. During her time at Kent State, she was a Kent State Masters Swim Coach from 2010 till 2012. She also coached at the Clearfork Swim Club in 2009 and 2010. Ashley enjoys reading, listening to music, traveling, finishing puzzles, and spending time with her family in her free time.
