Michael Gastauer

Michael Gastauer is a German entrepreneur and venture capitalist, investing in the financial technology industry. He is an advocate of the FinTech revolution and is globally ranked among the 100 most Influential People in FinTech. Gastauer is the Founder and CEO of Black Banx Group, a Financial Institution headquartered in London with offices in Moscow, Hong Kong and Toronto. Originally from Germany, Gastauer was one of the first in Europe, that created an online payment system to offer global card acceptance and payment processing solutions for the eCommerce industry. Gastauer led the business to consistent growth and profitability, reaching a US$480M valuation, before it was sold in 2008. Seven years later Michael become an investor and founder of digital banking group Black Banx. The Black Banx Group is the fastest growing FinTech company in Europe, reaching a US$ 2.2 billion valuation in less than ten months and a US$ 10 billion valuation in less than two years.
