Tyler Richards

Originally from Seattle, Washington, Tyler moved to Provo, Utah to attend Brigham Young University where he majored in Business Management in the Marriott Business school. As an entrepreneur, Tyler naturally gravitated to the tech industry due to his love of software, development, and emerging technology. Tyler was recently named to the "The Peak 100,” a list of the top entrepreneurs in Utah and surrounding areas. Tyler has created products and companies that improve their respective industries and he has brought that expertise to his last three ventures, all resulting in multi-million dollar acquisitions. His latest exit was DevMountain in 2016, an industry-leading code school nestled in the heart of the Intermountain West. Tyler has been an active angel investor for the last 7 years, investing in many names you would recognize along the Wasatch Front. This year Tyler has officially entered into Venture Capital acting as a GP in the pre-seed venture fund known as Startup Ignition Ventures.
