Danielle is a venture investor, strategist, and technologist. She is Senior Director, JCI Ventures. She is also a Venture Partner at NGVP. Danielle invests in the digital and deep tech founders building a smart and sustainable future. Her investment focus on AI/ML, IoT, cybersecurity, energy resilience, and carbon market technologies. Danielle was formerly with the RAND Corporation where she advised senior decision-makers on AI posture, digital transformation, and technology strategy in the context of global competition. Her work at RAND has been covered by The Economist, Forbes, Wired, and various federal and defense media outlets. A control theorist by training, Danielle started her career on the Electrical and Computer Engineering faculty at Johns Hopkins University where she founded and led a research lab at the intersection of control and computer science. Danielle is the recipient of NSF CAREER, AFOSR Young Investigator, JHU Excellence in Teaching, and RAND Silver Medal awards. Danielle received her BE from AUB (Mechanical Engineering), her SM (Mechanical Engineering) from MIT, and her PhD from MIT (Control Theory). She was a postdoctoral fellow at MIT and Caltech.
