Dwain Kinghorn

Dwain Kinghorn is the Chief Strategy and Innovations Officer at Vivint Solar, a leading full-service residential solar integrator. His focus is to help the company align its product portfolio with go-to-market and business requirements. Dwain regularly works with accounts on detailed product plans and actively participates in customer and partner discussions to build a sales pipeline. Prior to Vivint Solar, Dwain worked at SageCreek launching new product lines and growing revenue to record levels. Dwain actively helped various SageCreek accounts complete strategic technology licensing, channel sales agreements, and find and train C-level executives. Before SageCreek, Dwain was Vice President at Symantec Corporation and was in charge of the collaboration architecture to ensure multiple Symantec products worked together. He was instrumental in Symantec’s successful adoption of the Altiris platform, where Dwain served as CTO for seven years and oversaw a development team that grew to over 500 people and an engineering budget in excess of $50M. His leadership of Altris’s product teams led to a large number of industry awards for the company. Earlier in his career, Dwain successfully started the company Computing Edge, which experienced greater than 40% growth each year for six years. The startup became a recognized leader in solutions that extended Microsoft’s management platform. Prior to Computing Edge, Dwain worked at Microsoft in the Operating System division.
