Stephen Oddo

Stephen is a serial travel industry entrepreneur who founded multiple companies in the tours, activities, and experiences sector. He began in 2005 in Rome by launching Walks of Italy. After successes in Italy, France, Spain, the UK, Turkey, and the US, his global brand Walks became one of the largest wholly-owned operators of sightseeing tours in the world, handling hundreds of thousands of passengers annually. Stephen designed a proprietary technology platform to scale up remotely-managed tour operations, invented Walk On Walk Off tours, and developed the first commercial virtual tour platform. Walks sold to Hornblower Group in 2021. Stephen oversees Walks’ global offices in 7 countries and is an expert in technology, marketing, digital strategy, and product development. He is a regular speaker at travel industry events such as WTM, ITB, and the NY Times Travel Show. Stephen was featured in and helped produce, a National Geographic and Netflix documentary about traveling smart in Rome. He helped produce the documentary Genius of a Place with Jeremy Irons and has traveled the globe to over 50 countries. Stephen speaks fluent English, Spanish, and Italian and lives in Boston, MA with his wife and daughter. He attended UC Santa Barbara.
