Stranieri Sebastian founded VU Security with the aim to address the inherent authentication processes sensitive information vulnerabilities. VU anti fraud solutions enable companies to ensure that critical customer information is kept secure, ensuring that phishing attacks, pharming and DoS attacks are managed effectively. Born in Buenos Aires, Sebastian Stranieri passion for technology and computing began with the purchase of his first computer in 1989. Independent by nature and accustomed to hard work, after graduating from high school in 1997, Sebastian decided to follow his passion and started working in Trend. There he honed his skills in business and management, and also obtained certifications CISSP, TSCE and TMSE. By the end of 2006 Sebastian noted the difficulty of people remember many passwords and user names in order to gain access to secure networks. Given the experience of Trend Argentina, Sebastian saw an opportunity to introduce innovative security solution that greatly simplify the authentication process for secure networks. Ready to take the technological leap, left his job after nine years in order to create a set of software solutions focused on information security. Thus, with the advice of NXTP Labs, he founded VU Security in November 2007 with the mission to prevent online fraud and protect the identity of users, eliminating phishing attacks, pharming and social engineering attacks on financial institutions, private companies, government agencies and telecommunications companies also simplify the authentication process for end users. In less than a year, he signed a contract with Banco Credicoop in order to implement the Mobile Token for their entire online banking users. VU Security today has a broad customer base throughout Latin America, and is a Gold Member of international organizations focused on the nature of the authentication as FIDO Alliance, OIC and OATH Initiative. Also, VU was recognized by Cybersecurity Cybersecurity Ventures ranking 500, a comprehensive directory of 500 companies from over 2015 outstanding and innovative cybersecurity. In 2013, Sebastian Stranieri was awarded the Prize of the MIT Technology Review as one of the young innovators of Argentina and Uruguay. He has also received the Red Innova Challenge 2015 award - the competition looking for the most promising and innovative startups in the region in a multitude of categories in the Category Mobile. He has also been invited to speak at international technology events, for college students - and IAE Business School recently - and in television and media interviews graphics and online communication.
