Michael Pope

Michael Pope is a senior executive and seasoned investor with global experience in both private and public markets. Having led over 50 transactions and raised over $500 million, Mr. Pope also brings direct experience in mergers and acquisitions, public and private financings, management buy-outs and corporate divestitures. Mr. Pope currently serves as Chairman and CEO at Boxlight Corporation, a global education technology company. Mr. Pope led the company through nine acquisitions from 2016 to 2020, a Nasdaq IPO in Nov 2017, and several equity raises totaling $65+ million. Michael Pope previously served as Managing Director at Vert Capital, a private equity and advisory firm, and managed portfolio holdings in consumer products, education technology and digital media. Prior to joining Vert Capital, Mr. Pope was Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer for the Taylor Family, based in Salt Lake City, and managed family investment holdings in consumer products, professional services, real estate and education. Mr. Pope has also held positions as Chief Financial Officer at Bebo, Sr. SEC Reporting accountant at Omniture and Assurance Associate at Grant Thornton. Mr. Pope maintains an active CPA license and serves on the boards of various organizations including Boxlight (NASDAQ:BOXL), Focus Universal (OTCQB: FCUV) and The School Fund. Mr. Pope earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees in accounting from Brigham Young University.
