Donald Carty

Donald Carty has served as our Chairman of the Board since 2006. Carty is currently a private investor. Carty served as Vice Chairman and Chief Financial Officer of Dell from 2007 until 2008.Carty previously served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, and held a variety of other executive positions, for AMR Corporation and American Airlines. Carty also previously served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Canadian Pacific Air Lines, known in Canada as CP Air. Carty is a director of Talisman Energy Inc. and Canadian National Railway Company. Carty was a member of the boards of directors of Hawaiian Holdings Inc., the sole owner of Hawaiian Airlines, Inc., from July 2004 until February 2007 and again from April 2008 until May 2011, Barrick Gold Corporation, a gold mining company, from February 2006 until December 2013, Dell Inc., a computer technology company, from December 1992 until November 2013 and Gluskin Sheff and Associates, a wealth management firm, from June 2006 until December 2006 and again from April 2008 until May 2011. Carty brings to our board of directors significant expertise in the airline industry from previous executive leadership positions. In addition, Carty’s experience as a director of public companies provides the board of directors with valuable insights to assist in achieving our goals.
