Adam Berrey is an entrepreneur and executive with 25 years of experience in the software industry. He has helped to build seven startups including three that went public and two that were acquired. He has led product and strategy work on more than 31 products and consulted on dozens of others. Most recently, Adam was the CEO of PathCheck, an unprecedented spinout from MIT that mobilized more than 600 professional volunteers to build a groundbreaking system for exposure notification, which helped millions of people protect their communities from the spread of covid-19. Prior to PathCheck, Adam was the Chief Product Officer at Circle Internet Financial, CEO and Co-Founder of Curoverse, and an EIR at Northbridge Venture Partners and General Catalyst. Adam served as SVP, Marketing & Product at Brightcove (NASDAQ: BCOV) from first product launch through $20M in annual revenue, and he was President and Co-Founder of Onfolio, a knowledge management tool, which was purchased by Microsoft in 2006. Before Onfolio, Adam was VP, Marketing at Macromedia where he led the launches of more than ten products including several 1.0 releases. He joined Macromedia when they merged with Allaire in 2001. He was part of the founding team at Allaire, which built web application servers, and during his five year tenure, he held a variety of positions leading product, marketing, and business strategy work that helped to grow the company from $500K to more than $100M, an IPO, and a $2B market cap on NASDAQ. Adam is an active angel investor with investments in a variety of companies including Clypd (acquired by AT&T), Placester, Promoboxx, and Sagewell Financial.
