Raman has been working in a secured enterprise digital messaging offered by IBM and as an Automation Engineer for more than a decade with clients ranging from Financial, Insurance and retail sectors. Education: He has a degree in Bachelor of Technology and majored in Electrical Engineering from Regional Engineering College(R.E.C) – Durgapur, West Bengal. Class of 2002. Regional Engineering College has been renamed as National Institute of Technology since July 2003. Certification: He is a certified IBM Message Queue solution designer (Certified by IBM in 2009) Professional Career: Working as a consultant since 2006 in the U.S., Raman Kathpalia has served clients ranging from Financial, Retail, Cruiseline and Insurance Sector to streamline their Enterprise Messaging infrastructure and service Automation needs. His recent work involves creating bots in financial and insurance organizations to ease the operational tasks. He achieved automation using trio combination - Programming languages such as Linux bash and/or Python scripts with an orchestration product such as RedHat Ansible. Ansible scales up the reach of automation. Ansible is also used for configuration management and is a dominant competitor of Chef and Puppet and backed by an industry leader - RedHat. A.M.S is a stepping stone for blockchain (in latest IBM MQ version- 9.x.x) Interests: Tennis is his main interests. He is a beer enthusiast who has sampled a wide variety. He holds a particular interest in “Tripel” line of beers which is characterized as strong pale ale. He can be found in tennis courts of New York or New Jersey in the evenings.
