Andrew Wordsworth

Andrew is our executive chairman and responsible for fundraising, partnership negotiation and long term strategic management. He firmly believes that the electric transport revolution is well underway, and that car clubs like E-Car can not only reduce emissions but make transport more affordable and more convenient for communities across the country. With over ten years’ experience in the sustainability and renewables sector, he knows that organisations like this can’t survive on their carbon credentials alone. They need to provide a new solution which is both more cost effective and better suited to people’s needs. He’s very much a “hands on” Chairman and you’re more likely to see him on the street checking out the cars or talking to customers in the call centre than in the board room. Andrew holds a first-class MEng in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cambridge, where he was awarded the University Fox Prize.
