JOHN A. BLAIR has more than 30 years’ experience in hi-tech start-ups, banking, systems development and executive management. He has held a variety of executive positions, including multiple CEO assignments, board positions, and executive management positions in start-ups and Fortune 5 companies. As CEO of Executive Strategies, a nationally recognized management consulting practice, John specializes in assisting early stage high technology companies as well as those that are undergoing a business pivot by taking very active advisory role with the executive team. He has started companies from scratch, raised venture capital, and created successful strategic growth strategies. He has been involved in more than $11B in merger and acquisition activities, guided companies through the IPO process, and built strong customer service organizations. In addition to his current duties at Executive Strategies, Mr. Blair is also a Venture Partner at Jumpstart, Inc where he participates in selection, due diligence, evaluation, and consultation to high growth start-ups. In this capacity, he advises select portfolio companies in the SaaS, medical device, clean technology and biomedical industries, with focus on organizational development, business strategy, sales/marketing and fundraising. Prior to that, Mr. Blair was Vice President-Operations & Internet Services for Digital Generation Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: DGIT), a Silicon Valley hi-tech start-up with a 1996 initial public offering. Mr. Blair also served in senior executive positions for more than fifteen years in financial institutions including Citibank, Ameritrust, and Crocker Bank, and has additional experience in the manufacturing, computing, and engineering sectors. Mr. Blair holds a BS degree in Chemical Engineering.
