Elisabeth Tørstad

Elisabeth Heggelund Tørstad is a Senior Vice President in DNV GL, and Group Chief Technology Officer. She is based in the Group HQ in Norway, with overall responsibilities for DNV GL’s activities related to research and technology development. DNV GL invests 5% of its annual revenue in research and technology development, with 1% being executed in a dedicated unit for strategic research and the remaining in the operational units. Previous to this assignment, Elisabeth Tørstad was Chief Operating Officer of Division Americas and Sub-Saharan Africa for a period of 4 years. She was located in Houston and held the overall responsibility for DNV’s operation in Maritime, Oil and Gas industries in these geographies.
