Ben Mathias is a Managing Partner at Vertex Ventures SEA and India, based in Bangalore. Since joining Vertex in 2015, he has made several investments in the areas of Consumer Internet, Fintech and Enterprise Technology. Ben has currently or previously sat on the boards of FirstCry, XPressBees, CloudCherry, Hotelogix, Flutura, Synup, Active AI, Licious, GlowRoad, IVF Access and Kapiva. He also has overall responsibility for the firm’s investments in India. Prior to Vertex, Ben was a partner at New Enterprise Associates (NEA) where he launched their India presence and opened their Bangalore office. While at NEA, he led several investments in the Technology and Healthcare sectors.
