Karun Sreerama

An accomplished engineer and executive, Karun Sreerama has helped numerous Houston-based companies through successful startup cycles in his role as principal of The Asset Management Consultants. In addition to his investments in and consulting to promising new business ventures, Karun Sreerama stands out as a community leader who has held multiple executive and board roles with institutions and organizations such as the Houston Mayor's International Affairs Development Council for South Asian Affairs, the Harris County Precinct One Street Olympics, and the American Council of Engineering Companies of Houston. In 2016, he was named the recipient of a Community Champion Award for Outstanding Civic Leadership from the Texas Organizing Project. From 2004 to 2015, Karun Sreerama served as president and CEO of ESPA CORP, which he helped grow from a small local engineering firm with a staff of 17 to a successful company featuring diversified services in architecture, program management, and construction as well as a staff of more than 80. The firm was named Rising Small Business of the Year in 2008 and Outstanding Small Business of the Year in 2010 and 2011. Mr. Sreerama’s career history also includes executive positions with Simply Stocks and Professional Service Industries. He holds a PhD in civil engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla and an MBA from The University of Texas at Austin.
