Eric Queathem has spent the last 15 years at the forefront of the golden era of payments, beginning as a trusted advisor and leader in McKinsey & Company’s Payments Practice, then serving on the executive team at Worldpay, and now as the Co-founder and President of Velocity. Throughout his tenure at Worldpay, Eric navigated constant transformation, holding a variety of leadership roles across nearly every part of the organisation. He was instrumental in three of the largest transactions in fintech history: the merger of Vantiv and Worldpay, the $43 billion acquisition of Worldpay by FIS, and its subsequent divestiture to GTCR. As Executive Vice President of Growth, Eric oversaw corporate strategy and development, global partnerships—including managing relationships with key partners such as Visa and PayPal—data science, and the P&L for all emerging businesses. Under his leadership, Worldpay expanded its e-commerce footprint into more than 10 new countries, built the world’s largest crypto on- and off-ramp solution, launched innovative offerings like virtual card issuing, and executed multiple strategic M&A deals. Eric’s entrepreneurial drive was evident early on. While still an undergraduate, he was named runner-up Student Entrepreneur of the Year for a venture he started in school. It's no surprise that he has now retuned as the co-founder of Velocity. Eric holds a bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He currently resides in central London with his wife and three children
