Charles Dersahakian

Charles Dersahakian is the founder of Kanoony. He has over 20 years of experience in various fields of law within the UAE. He has held several governmental and private roles, such as Chief Legal Officer at Ras Al Khaimah Investment Authority, Regional Counsel at Unilever, Legal Director at TECOM Investments, and Legal Counsel at Majid Al Futtaim Properties. With an extensive background advising government and semi-government entities, major blue-chip organizations, and SMEs on a wide range of legal matters including M&A transactions, legal due diligence, joint ventures, agency law issues, regulatory affairs, electronic transactions, and other corporate and commercial matters, Charles possesses a comprehensive understanding of the UAE legal system. He has also been involved in drafting numerous laws and regulations and is recognized for his expertise by Arabian Business Magazine, which named him one of Dubai's legal eagles in 2018.
