Andre Retterath

Andre Retterath is an early-stage investor with Earlybird Venture Capital focusing on “deep tech” companies utilising AI, Machine Intelligence and Data Analytics, alongside companies in Enterprise Software and DevTech. Before transitioning into VC in 2017, he gained more than 5 years experience as a process automation engineer and technology consultant with ThyssenKrupp and further insights as a management consultant with GE North America. In parallel to finding and supporting the most visionary and ambitious tech founders, Andre pursues a PhD in Entrepreneurial Finance at Technical University of Munich with focus on machine learning in VC. He holds a M.Sc. in Management and a B.Eng. in Mechatronics and was previously educated at Harvard University, University of Cambridge and Georgia Institute of Technology, among others.
