Kamal Hassan

Kamal Hassan is a serial entrepreneur and technology sector investor. His expertise includes startup advisory and venture capital fund management as well as corporate strategy, innovation management and business growth. Kamal is a General Partner at TURN8 Fund. Originally established as an early-stage technology accelerator by DP World, Kamal served as Accelerator Managing Director since inception. In this role he was an integral part of the selection committee that scouted for startups from around the world. He also mentored numerous startups in developing and commercializing their business ideas and securing funding. Kamal is also a General Partner at Fenox Venture Capital, based in Silicon Valley in the U.S. He leads the organization’s Middle East operations, including overseeing a $100 million venture fund that invests in the United States, Asia and the Middle East. Additionally, Kamal is the founder of The Cribb, an entrepreneurial ecosystem for startups and SMEs, and also the Founder, President and CEO of Innovation 360, a global innovation management firm, both based in Dubai, UAE. Kamal has a Masters in Genetic Engineering from San Francisco State University in the U.S., and has completed executive education courses at Harvard Business School, Leeds School of Business and The Wharton School.
