Dr. Nazir Hossain Mollah

Dr. Nazir Hossain Mollah was born in the Kalapani area, a village in South Salmara MANKACHAR district, Assam. After completing his 12th at Kalapani Higher Secondary School, he pursued a DMLT (Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technician) course in Guwahati, setting the foundation for his career in healthcare. His dedication to community service led him to further his education, eventually earning a Doctorate degree from the United Nations Peace University. After completing his DMLT, he opened a pathological laboratory in Hatsingimari, where healthcare services were scarce. However, the lab was demolished by the PWD (Public Works Department) due to a road expansion project. Undeterred, Dr. Mollah recognized the lack of computer education in Hatsingimari and opened a computer learning institute in 2009, becoming one of the first to offer such services. His business, Global Education & Technoworld, has since expanded to 55+ franchises across Northeast India, including Assam, Manipur, and Meghalaya, with collaborations with institutions like B. Borooah College. In 2006, after completing a healthcare management course, Dr. Mollah founded Hatsingimari Global Hospital, the first private hospital in the district, addressing the region’s urgent need for healthcare services, including OT and Cesarean facilities. In recognition of his contributions to computer education in backward areas of Northeast India, Dr. Mollah was awarded the National Excellence Award by Alma UK in 2015. Today, Dr. Nazir Hossain Mollah continues to inspire through his work in education and healthcare, proving that resilience and vision can turn challenges into opportunities for a brighter future.
