Tomer is a general partner at Aleph, an early stage venture capital fund with $850M under management. Aleph focuses on partnering with great Israeli entrepreneurs to build large, meaningful companies and impactful global brands. Since its founding in 2013, Aleph has invested in over 50 companies (not all announced) including Lemonade, Melio, Healthy.io, JoyTunes, Fabric, Honeybook and Bringg. Prior to joining Aleph in 2021, Tomer spent five years as a Vice President at Bessemer Venture Partners in both their Israel and San Francisco offices. He led and supported the firm’s investments in dozens of companies including Auth0 (acq. by Okta), Habana Labs (acq. by Intel), Rigetti Computing, Axonius, Melio and DriveNets. Previously, Tomer had a successful career in R&D, having served as an officer in Unit 8200 of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and worked as an engineer at Allot Communications (NASDAQ: ALLT). Tomer is passionate about education and geopolitics, and has previously served as the chairman of the Israeli Model UN Association (IMUNA) and as a board member of the Birthright Israel Excel community. He also spent the last 15 years volunteering in education and youth leadership programs in Israel and the US. Tomer graduated summa cum laude from the honors program of business and economics at the Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya (IDC). He enjoys music, yoga and mediation.
