Mike Marr

Mike Marr (born in Pukekohe, New Zealand) is a New Zealand entrepreneur and business leader. He is the co-founder and owner of TPT Group, alongside his wife Terese Marr. Over a career spanning more than 25 years, he has founded ten successful start-ups, completed 14 acquisitions, and built TPT Group into a diversified enterprise operating across electronic security, data communications, information technology, security monitoring, innovation and artificial intelligence, finance, and commercial property sectors. Marr began his career as an electrical apprentice and holds qualifications in Electrical Trade, Electrotechnology, an Advanced Diploma in Business, a Diploma in Management, a Diploma in Integrated Risk Management, and a Diploma in Project Management. His leadership has been recognised through multiple awards. In 2020, he received the Blake Leader Award, honouring New Zealanders who demonstrate high-impact leadership for a sustainable future. In 2017, he became one of only two global recipients of the Beta Gamma Sigma Medallion of Entrepreneurship, and the first outside the United States to receive the honour. He was also a finalist in the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Awards (NZ) in 2014. Marr holds several governance roles, including Deputy Chair of Waipa Networks, Chair of Rhema Media, Board Member of The Runway Foundation, and Trustee of Counties Energy Trust. He has also served on the AUT University Business School Advisory Board and as an Independent Director of Eqalis Pharmaceuticals. In 2015, Mike and Terese Marr established The Runway Foundation, a registered charitable trust supporting families affected by ADHD and providing wider community support. He is actively involved in philanthropy, contributing to organizations such as Lifewise, Community Food Banks, and Crisis Funds
