Marco started working on the web in 1996 when he founded Communicate!, a web agency where he worked on complex projects for medium and big companies such as Alcoa Inc., the Italian Postal Service, McKinsey & Co., Daimler Chrysler, and many others. In 2001 he sold Communicate! to a pre-IPO company. In 2002 he made a management buy-out of Maki, an Italian ISP with more than 10.000 customers, he sold his stake of Maki in 2008. In 2004 he founded Blogo.it, the largest nanopublishing company in Italy with now more than 12 million monthly unique/users. At the beginning of 2007, he sold a minority stake of Blogo.it to DADA Spa (stock DA.MI) an RCS Group company and in mid-2008 he sold another stake. Blogo is active in Italy, France, Uk, Brazil, and Spain. At the beginning of 2011, he sold Blogo to Populis. In 2011 he worked as a Venture Partner in the VC Fund Principia and two years after he founded Tannico, a leading pan-european wine shop active in 20 countries and with B2C, B2B services and a flagship wine shop in Milan. With Tannico he acted as a CEO for 10 years growing the company to more than 70 milion Euros of revenues and raising 60 milion of funds. In late 2022 he sold Tannico to the Joint Venture between Campari Group and Möet Hennessy (LVMH Group). Marco is also an active seed investor having invested in more then 15 companies in Italy, Europe and the US. Main investments and exits are: Iubenda, Cortilia, Velasca, La Passione, Pusher, Tannico, Milkman.
