Boris Bogatin

Co-Founder and CEO of Catio, a cloud infrastructure platform enabling companies to excel with cloud native tech stacks, focused on tech stack evaluation, planning, and evolution. Focused on starting, growing, and funding high-tech companies, at the heart as a dynamic product-focused leader. Most recently, Boris founded and was the Chief Strategy Officer and also headed product and engineering for Siden (siden.io), a cloud IaaS and AI/ML platform for home cloud compute enabling a future $100B+ wireless Home Internet market globally. Boris previously co-founded Pitter Patter App (digital touch), Frontera (home broadband), NearVerse (a mobile cloud platform and a proximity messaging app), helped start MSV (ushering in 4G and now two $ multi-billion companies as Ligado and part of Dish), and helped build Cidera (the first streaming media CDN with $137M in funding). As a VC / PE investor, Boris funded companies across cloud infrastructure, enterprise SaaS, and data sectors as a Venture Partner at Columbia Capital ($3B AUM VC Fund) and a founding Partner at Lumia Capital ($100M VC Fund) across seed to later stage start-ups, and as a Special Advisor to Madison Dearborn Partners ($14B AUM PE Fund) across growth and private equity. Boris graduated the Management and Technology Program at the University of Pennsylvania with degrees from the Wharton School and School of Engineering, and is a listed inventor on 15 patents.
