Sudheer Kuppam

Previously, Sudheer Kuppam was a Managing Director at Intel Capital overseeing investments in Asia Pacific region. Sudheer was part of the investment committee that approved all investments in the region. Based out of India, Sudheer managed a team of investment professionals located in Bangalore, Mumbai, New Delhi, Seoul, Singapore, Taipei & Tokyo. He was also responsible for the $250M Intel Capital India technology fund. Under his leadership, Sudheer and his team invested over $600M in the region and drove multiple exits for Intel Capital globally, including Focaltech (Taiwan) – IPO; V-cube (Japan) – IPO; Montage (China) – IPO (Nasdaq); Aspeed (Taiwan) – IPO; MCX (India) – IPO; Skymedi (Taiwan) – IPO; Powertech (Taiwan) – PIPE deal; Epichem (UK) – Acquired by SIAL; Clearshape (US) – Acquired by Cadence; Trichem (Japan) – IPO; FPT (Vietnam) – IPO; ADA Cellworks (Malaysia) – Acquired by GTL India; Persistent (India) – IPO; Dealmates (Malaysia) – IPO; Crossing (US) – Acquired by Brooks; WSO2 (Sri Lanka) – Acquired by PE firm; PayTM (India) – Acquired by PE firm; Policybazaar.com (India) – Acquired by a PE firm. Over the years, Sudheer held multiple board positions in Intel Capital’s global portfolio. Currently, Sudheer is a director on the boards of FarmTaaza (India), Pi Datacenters (India) & Zebi (India). Sudheer was a selection committee member of the World Economic Forum Technology Pioneers program. Sudheer joined Intel Capital in 2000. Prior to Intel Capital, Sudheer was an Engineering Manager overseeing R&D, manufacturing and HVM transfer in Intel’s Technology & Manufacturing Group. Prior to joining Intel, Sudheer was a process development engineer at LSI Logic. Sudheer has a Bachelors degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras and a Masters degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, USA.
