David Barrie

David is Founder of Game Academy, a Talent Tech platform for video game players. An impact entrepreneur and former TV producer, he has founded and managed several ventures now 7yrs+. Those ventures have been credited with raising over £0.6bn of new investment in cities, economies and their communities, and include London-based venture investor network Wild Blue Cohort and The People's Supermarket. For fifteen years, David was a BAFTA-nominated television producer, making programmes for Channel 4 and BBC Television. Named Maserati and Smith and Williamson Power 100 List Entrepreneur 2016 & Winner Regeneration & Renewal Grand Prix Prize, 2009. Alumni of Zinc, the LocalGlobeVC/Atomico/LSE-supported venture builder program.
