Susan Lyne is co-founder and Managing Partner of BBG Ventures, an NYC-based, early-stage fund leading investments in companies built by underestimated founders that are transforming our collective and lived experiences. Since 2014, the fund has invested in 60 companies including Zola, The Wing, Modsy, Lola, KiwiCo, Glamsquad, HopSkipDrive, Spring Health, and Blueland. Before founding BBG Ventures Susan held leadership positions at media, technology, and entertainment companies of all sizes and stages, from startups to public companies. She began her career in the magazine industry, where she founded and led Premiere Magazine. She spent almost a decade at Disney, rising to President of ABC Entertainment where she oversaw the development of shows including Desperate Housewives, Lost and Grey’s Anatomy. She was CEO of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia; CEO and then Chair of Gilt.com; and CEO of AOL’s Brand Group. Susan has been the recipient of numerous honors and awards, including Publishing Executive of the Year from Ad Age, the Matrix Award from New York Women in Communications, Crain’s 2019 Notable Women in Tech, and Fast Company’s Most Influential Women in Tech. Her biggest wins have come from listening to, building for and betting on women.
